The wind howled, you could hear the wind on its way. At 5.30 the wind started to get nasty and it only got nastier. Crash! Bang! I saw a pollen bomb and it was a tree, then the ground got loose and you could hear the trees falling on the fences it was like a creaking noise. Then i saw the biggest tree of my life time, it came tumbling down straight onto the power lines. Then, my worst nightmare - the power went out. The wind continued like an angry gorilla stuck in zoo.
That night the wind was getting vicious and all i could hear was trees and branches snapping. Finally my mum and sister came back from town and then we got all the torches and lights and turned them on. At about 9.30 we were sitting outside in the dark watching the trees fall down with blankets round us. Until there were no trees left.
That morning we went outside and went for a walk to see the damage and then we saw our neighbors and they were trapped by the trees. The trees made it look like a tornado ripped through Canterbury. We had no power on Wednesday,Thursday and Friday and maybe Saturday.
