On Tuesday 7th May the whole school started learing about there new topic - Life is a challenge "it's not fair". The first thing we did for it waslearning about how peoplein the world don't get the same amount of foodas others. Our classes got split up into groups. One person in each class got Mc Donalds, three people from each class got a standed lunch, five people from each class got bread, seven people from each class got cooked rice and ten people from each class got NOTHING. I had cooked rice. I wish I got Mc Donalds.

On Wednesday our class had first aid training in the hall. We learned about lots of different stuff like what to do if you: burn youself, get a bleeding nose, a bee sting, bad bleedings, dislocations and sprains. My favourite was learning about a sprain because we got to bandage each other's legs. I hope I never get a dislocated joint!!
Tap, tap,tap went the sewing machine as Arrowsmith Syndicate of Tinwald School were making mascots for their camp at Mt Hutt Retreat. We Started making them on Monday 18th March.
Our group has nearly finished our mascot. I hope it survives camp. On Thursday the 21st in the afternoon it was a lovely day for the year 3 to 6 children at Tinwald School to do the triathlon. It was all the way out at Hinds Domain.
At twelve o' clock we got bussed down to Hinds, everyone was really excited. When we arrived we all got ready and were sent to our starting lines. My race was at the end . I was in heat 1. We hopped in the pool and waited. Beep, went the hooter and we were off. I was first out of the pool and on my bike. There were lots of marshals to show us where to go. When I was on the run I got the stitch really bad, but I finished. I came first in my heat and I was really happy and knackered. I'm glad it wasn't raining!! |
