The wind howled, lightning fulled up the sky, it was the middle of the night and I couldn't sleep. It was a really windy day. On Tuesday trees were scatted all over the place, dust was moving along the ground like brown seas and crackling noises surrounded me as I went home from school. This all happened during the strongest wind storm ever. It all started when we were all outside playing gutter board. The clouds turned gray and the sun disappeared into the sky. Then the gale force hit. Trees started to sway left and right, dust flew everywhere and all you could hear was people screampeopling shock as dust flew into their eyes. As the day went on the wind got stronger and stronger. I could hear the whistling of the wind and it gave me a headache. Why did it have to be so windy I thought. Quite abruptly the lights went out and the power switched off. Then we were left in darkness. Out came the candles and the water proof matches. At lest there was a little bit of light in the house. Thunder and lightning rippled through the night. I whished it would stop so I could get some sleep. I was glad when I woke up tho hear the wind had died down. All in all I was pritty sure it was the windiest day we have ever had. At least somone had a good day (the weather man) because he was right about the weather Over the last week room 8 have been making wool sculptures. I made a fantail. First we had to make our animals out of news paper and masking tape, then we coved them in wool. I am really happy with the way it turned out and can't wait till the next art challenge. Our challenge was to make Robots out of recycling. We had to explore and investigate to find ideas of how we could make our robots. Mine did not go to plan. Lots of things went well for me, like it is quite strong, it's different to other people's robots and the silver spray paint makes it look cool. Things went bad as well bacause things started to fall off and it's arms would not stick on properly. I am really happy with Robby the Robot, even though it is the smallest! |
