This term Tinwald children have been working hard preparing and practicing speeches. Well done to the six children from Harakeke who had the opportunity to speak at the Arrowsmith Syndicate finals on Monday. From these finals six children from Arrowsmith were picked to speak at the Tinwald School finals which were held tonight. Chloe and Abbey from Harakeke spoke at the school finals and were also placed 1st and 2nd! Well done to everyone who spoke!
This week we are making sculptures based on indigenous Australian art created by the Tjanpi Desert Weavers. The artists collect materials such as grass, wool, raffia and other objects and use them to create bowls and sculptures. Find out more info on our CL page.

This weeks 'Make it Work art challenge has been to make 'something' out of 'nothing'. We bought lots of 'bits and bobs' from home and are in the process of making robots.
