I hope everyone enjoys their two weeks of freedom and I am looking forward to hearing your holiday stories and sharing mine when I get back!
Hello Harakeke! I hope you are all enjoying your holidays - I definitley am! I am in Nah Trang, Vietnam at the moment. It is incredibly hot and humid here (around 32 degrees) and it is very hard to get used to! I flew into Ho Chi Minh city on the 18th, it took all up around 15 hours in the plane! We visited the Cu Chi tunnels where the Vietnam war was fought and then caught an overnight bus to Nah Trang. It took ten hours in the bus and it was very hard to sleep with someone right beside you. Today we hung out at a beautiful beach and tomorrow we are going diving and snorkelling!
I hope everyone enjoys their two weeks of freedom and I am looking forward to hearing your holiday stories and sharing mine when I get back!

Thanks to Chloe and James who combined their 'Harakeke Shop' rewards and held an end of term PJ party for our class!
We have been busy training for the school cross country in week 1 of next term. Each time we practice we are getting faster and faster. We set goals for each practice run. We have been creating posters to promote our favourite books as a part of book week. Our posters had to have; a title, a brief blurb about the book in our own words, a recommendation, a 5 star rating and pictures/images. Check out a few from our class. The best ones will be displayed in the hall later in the week. Well done to our very own Chloe Small who was elected as Tinwald School leader! Other students from Arrowsmith were awarded their badges in the celebration assembly on Friday, including James Brady who set a record for most badges earned! Well done James!
Week 10 is Book Week at Tinwald School. Today we had Room 3 come to our classroom to do some buddy reading with us. We really enjoyed reading to them and listening to them read. There are a few more exciting things happening during book week, on Friday we have character dress up day and we are currently working on making some great book promotion posters. The book fair is also set up in the Hilary Room of the hall. Come in and buy a book! |
